AWESOMENESS in the HOUSE!

the era of awesomeness has begun.

Facebook vs. Site-That-Must-Not-Be-Named

I've seen many posts about it on that "site," but the most memorable is the one about the pictures posted on Facebook and that Site. Like, in Facebook the pictures aren't moving, and in the Site GIFs are pretty much the rage. And so in conclusion, Facebook: Muggles; Site: Wizards. :)) I have to admit though that it made sense. XD Still, that's no reason to diss on Facebook.

Two years ago I made an account on Facebook. After months of familiarizing myself with the whole thing, I thought that it was the coolest thing yet. I mean, it was a lot better than Friendster. At least in Facebook we use our real name and real info. Well, except for some - I saw a profile that was kind of anonymous, and she was posting some really mean notes about my schoolmates. Yeah, schoolmates. They're not in my batch, but still. Anyway, in Facebook we post real info so everyone knows who we really are. We can upload photos, make notes, create videos, make groups, and even play games . . . Everyone was hooked.

When I discovered the "Site" I admit it was hard to navigate at first. I was even wondering, "How come when the other users write their comments on the post there's a line below their username and mine comes up with nothing?!" :)) And, "How do I change my theme to a much more awesome one?" :)) And then these posts came out and Facebook started to become boring. I started seeing posts that said "In Facebook no one understands me, but here in the Site everyone does. I'm deleting my Facebook account," and "A lot of people in Facebook have wrong grammar, but here in the Site we're all word nerds."

Now that may be true for some people, but I'm not gonna be one of them. Don't get me wrong, the Site is super awesome. Seeing things I can relate to and reblogging and liking them, knowing that you're not alone and that someone is out there who is just like you and who understands you, that's pretty great. But I'm not gonna be one of those Facebook haters, because I use Facebook. I update my status, I comment on other people's status and like them, I upload photos for memories and like other photos, I do notes when I'm bored. And most of all, Facebook helps me connect with people who are far away from me. Like my friends who moved away to another country, or my relatives whom I don't get to see daily, or my satrapemates. :D (Yeah yeah, I miss them so much, I know I know.)

Conclusion: the Site helps me realize a lot of things via their posts. And it's where I used to express myself. (Note "used to," I can't now because there are too much Bosconians. Heck even Vito has one. The fock. But if you check it out, it's great, maybe you can express yourself there without any restrictions.) Facebook is a great way to connect with people, no matter what anyone says otherwise. So I ain't living without it, or the Site. Both are awesome. No need for wars.
