AWESOMENESS in the HOUSE!

the era of awesomeness has begun.

NYSTESC 2011, Under CHEMstruction: Restore the Environment's Equilibrium, Provide a Greener Solution

NYSTESC: National Youth Science, Technology and Environment Summer Camp
PSYSC: Philippine Society of Youth Science Clubs

That was my first time to join the CAMP, and also my last. Now I regret not joining those past two summers we YES members were invited to go but didn't feel like it. Those four days in CAMP were one of the best moments of my life, and is something I will never forget.

Chemopolis, Villagers, Guardians, Satrapes, Chimiques, Fey Andts, Chemigods, are just some of the Camp Lexicon we learned. There were also "Kaika" meaning "Hi," and "Oste" meaning "Goodbye." Oh my that rhymed. :)) Anyway, so that was the thing for this year's camp. Me? I was put in Satrape 9. Not my favorite number, but hey, I saw my satrapemates and I was glad. CHEMATRIX! :) And it's awesome to still be in touch with each other even if the camp's over, you know? Feels nice, making new real friends. :) I learned that in a group, even when you're different in many ways, like where you come from, what dialect/language you speak, what you like and don't like, if you unite for one good cause - in our case, TO SAVE CHEMOPOLIS - you will be successful.

The Chuga dance, Go Choki Pa, Clap Hammer Tap, Be EXCITED, the waaaaaave, corny jokes, PSYSC theme song, and of course, the very memorable and never forgettable dance of all time . . . in CAMP, the Dalandan Shake! Unlike in school, there are absolutely 0% killjoys there, so even if we just break out there and dance the Dalandan Shake, no one will glare at you like some kind of freak, everyone will dance with you! Because dancing to a really catchy song does not make you a freak. It makes you awesome, confident. Actually every time I hear that song now I laugh but then cry inside because it makes me miss my satrapemates. Oh man. Miss you CHEMATRIX!

See our many pictures there over in FB? You see it? Three of us, each has an album for each epic day, so that we will never forget the awesome time we had. The CAMP isn't just for science nerds (although there are many there) that discusses science lectures, for there are more workshops for team-building and creative people to enjoy. Seriously, the overall workshop, it was epic. Can't believe we even finished, so yeah. :D The whole stay there. It was . . . more than epic. There are no words, as Emi said, to explain how much fun I had in there. I wish we could have stayed there sooner.

So if you want an awesome start for your summer, seriously, go, join the next NYSTESC. I promise you, you will have an amazing time there. Who knows, if you join CAMP 2013 onwards you might see me as your faci. ;)

So many tags!!! Sorry (?) for that. It's just that they're all interconnected but different! :)
