the era of awesomeness has begun.

Puerto Princesa: City in the Forest (Day 3)

We woke up early again. T-T :))) Yeah, I hate waking up early. XD Aaanyway, haha. After the van picked us up, we went to Hotel Centro, which is several minutes away from One Rover's Place. Our company for the day was staying there. They were rich because that hotel is new and really big. Aside from that, they were also late. :))) But seeing the cute guy made it all better. :> I thought he was with the girl he went in the van with, but when an old woman (but that not old ha, just "adult;" she's still pretty though) came in, I figured the two were brother and sister. >:) The tour guide said it was a 2-hour drive from Rizal Avenue to Sabang, where the Underground River is. And then mom asked her if we could also go to the Mangrove Forest, because Eliz's mom suggested it to us and it was beautiful. Our tour guide said we could go there if it's okay with our company, and if our scheduled time for the underground river will be later.

Halfway through our journey, we stopped at a store thing, but there were also some tourists taking pictures there. Including us. HAHA

We arrived at the wharf. But it wasn't at Honda Bay. Our tour guide checked the schedule and we were scheduled for 12:30 to view the underground river. It was still around 10 in the morning, so she said we could still go to the mangrove forest. And it was okay with our companions. Weeeeee!

Ang weird ng itsura ko noh? :)))) Okay, okay, hahaha. So were asked to go in the boat and read the rules and regulations. And that guy sitting beside my sister? That's "him." ;) I envy my sister. T-T =))))

So the man in charge told us all about mangroves and the animals. The river was a bit dirty, but the view was amazing. Behind these trees lie a wonderful home for wildlife.

We saw some monkeys \m/\m/ :)) There were so many of them! And we saw a baby python and an old python, but it was all curled up and unmoving. The man said it had just eaten so it's resting for the moment.

When we were done with the tour, each of us planted our own mangrove tree to help the wildlife, because the man said after some years, the animals will grow and the mangroves will not be enough to support them, thus resulting to them going out of the forest and attack the villagers near the forest.

That's my mangrove. ;) Hahaha. So if you ever happen to vacation in Palawan, you might as well check out the Mangrove Paddle Boat Tour. You're not only visiting one of the hidden wonders of our country, but also helping out your fellow citizens. :) Oh! And by the way, we saw a tamilok, a.k.a. woodworm. And at Kinabuch's it's actually being served as a MEAL. O_O This is the worm:

After that we had a buffet lunch. Woohu! XD We were offered the woodworm but nooo way we could do that. :)))) And then we proceeded to the wharf. We got on a boat to get on the island where the underground river is. And guess what?! I sat next to him on the boat! x]] =))))

My sister thinks he's a model, because she heard him tell his mom that he needs to go back to Manila on that night because there was some kind of fitting. Wew!! \m/ Hahaha! So yeah, we went there . . . We waited a long time to actually get inside the cave, but eventually, we got there. Phew. :D

And then we got inside the cave. It was raining so there was some dripping. But we got to see the caves. It was seriously amazing. You gotta see it. And while you're at it, vote for it too! Visit www.new7wonders.com to vote, alright? (By the way, those black things you might see in the pictures are bats.)

Could you believe that these are all-natural? Not man-made. (Duh XD) Well, after that we took some jump shots courtesy of our tour guide, but I won't post those photos here =)))) Then we rode the boat going back to the wharf, and we rode the van for 2 hours again back to the hotel. Goodbye, model guy. :)))))) And then, we ate dinner at Kinabuch's. No, no, we didn't order the tamilok. Because it was unavailable for the night. :)) Phew! x]
