Goodbye Brain Train
I still remember how I was feeling on the eve of the first day of review; I didn't want it to start. I didn't want to listen to a boring discussion of some lesson we were already taught at one point in school. And as I sat on that squeaky chair in the room with a door that says 8E, I felt as though my wish was granted. Sir Randy was our very first teacher, and it was hardly boring at all. Plus, I like that we would answer a reviewer first before discussing - I feel like we could learn more that way. What I didn't like, though, was the smell of fish being sold at a market near the venue, and the people singing to the karaoke everyday - the worst part is that they sing the same songs over and over - and of course, the unbearable heat. But that wasn't even Brain Train's fault, they just made a partnership with the school.
The "commuting" was an additional experience. (The word commute is usually mistaken as riding a public vehicle; it actually means using any form of transportation on a regular basis - for example, going to school. So when it comes to commuting, there is no difference between riding a jeepney or riding a private jet.) Wow off topic. That's because I learned this from Brain Train! Anyway, I learned to "commute" - and enjoyed it despite the hassle - and by that I mean ride a jeep to and from Sci. Tech. - without my parents, but with my friends. It was awesome.
The teachers in BT are those one-in-a-million-teachers grouped into one awesome review center. Yes, they're that amazing! They put great effort in making us understand - and more importantly be interested in - the lessons they teach us. Like Sir Erwin, who makes the funniest jokes in the world it's just hard to keep a straight face; or Sir Irvin and Sir Jet, who pretend to be John Lloyd or Wendell Ramos (or Sam Hunds) to keep us entertained; or Sir Randy, who knows a hell lotta stuff and is very persuasive that he convinced me to boycott Jollibee; or Miss Reg, Miss Ara, Miss Val and Ma'am Dewmaine, who are seriously the most impeccable English teachers in the universe; or Sir Arman, who tried to scare us on the first day by saying that his subject is hard when in fact it was just a simple orientation; or Miss Mich and Sir Xander, who are just so proud to have graduated from UP; or Sir Luigi, who is just so cute and awesome; or Sir Rufo with a flower, who is just so flamboyant! I learned a lot more than I expected in here, and I am glad.
Yes, I am recommending this review center if you're younger than me. It focuses on the UPCAT, but it will still help you get into other universities and colleges. Plus, its price is almost half of the other review centers I know, but its reputation is very credible. They even have review centers for incoming high school students, so you might want to check that out as well. If you enroll here, you will get to (1) learn new things, and (2) have fun - two of the things you don't get to do in school. Right?
