AWESOMENESS in the HOUSE!

the era of awesomeness has begun.

Glee Season 2 (Late)

  • Empire State of Mind by New Directions - I didn't like it at first, but a few months later (yes, ganun katagal!) I loved its beat. ;)
  • Me Against the Music by Brittany and Santana - Vielka and Emi would always sing this during the speech choir practices. Ahaha! What a memorable song. XD
  • Toxic by New Directions and Will - I just loved their version. One of those covers of songs that they really made their own.
  • The Only Exception by Rachel - I almost cried the first time I watched her sing this. Damn you, Rachel. Why do you always have to make me cry?
  • Papa, Can You Hear Me? by Rachel - I admit, it was, erm, kinda disturbing, but I still loved her voice in here.
  • I Want To Hold Your Hand by Kurt - Kurt just struck my heartstrings in the song. :P
  • Losing My Religion by Finn - Another one of the songs sung by Finn that I loved singing, too! Hehe!
  • Dammit Janet by Finn and Rachel - I just thought they were cute here. Weeee!
  • Time Warp by New Directions - 'Nuff said.
  • Teenage Dream by Warblers - Instant crush on Darren Criss a.k.a. Blaine. I don't care if he's gay!
  • Start Me Up / Livin' on a Prayer by New Directions females - You can hear Rachel's powerful voice here. Woohu.
  • Forget You by Holly with New Directions - I looove this! I didn't know Pepper could sing! Iron Man, you're missing out on a lot with this gal!
  • Singin' in the Rain / Umbrella by Holly and Will with New Directions - Just a perfect mash-up of old and new classics. x)
  • Marry You by New Directions - In all honesty, this was way better than the original version of Bruno Mars.
  • Don't Cry For Me Argentina by Kurt and Rachel - I only wish Rachel was also included in the single version. :(
  • Hey, Soul Sister by Warblers - I just love everything by the Warblers . . . XD
  • Valerie by Santana with New Directions - Finally, a solo by Santana! This song's perfect for her to sing. x)
  • Last Christmas by Rachel and Finn - Another good version, they added their own mix to it. :D
  • Bills, Bills, Bills by Warblers - This is probably my favorite Warblers song they've sung so far. It's so different from the original, but it's more fun to sing!
  • Thriller / Heads Will Roll by New Directions - Such an LSS type of song. :P
  • Fat Bottomed Girls by Puck with New Directions males - I just thought this was funny. Way to go, Puck! Yes, this is the best way to serenade a woman!
  • Silly Love Songs by Warblers - I played this one going to prom . . . Haha, it was just grand.
  • Baby by Sam - What? I liked this version, with the guitar intro. Man, that was cool! B-)
  • Take Me or Leave Me by Rachel and Mercedes - They were so cute here! At first they were singing it for the diva-off but then they ended up hugging each other! Haha! It was just cute.
  • This Little Light of Mine by Will, Sue and pediatric patients - Such a cute song! :) The kids were so cute. And the inspiration factor was even greater because of Sue's presence.
  • Sing by New Directions with Sue - Hahaha. You know why. :))
  • My Headband by Rachel - Whaaat? It's an anthem, you know. Plus, my own headband saved me from extreme head damage! :P
  • Don't You Want Me by Blaine and Rachel - A good duet by the two best lead singers of two great show choirs. :D
  • Blame It (On the Alcohol) by New Directions - I heard the original song years ago, and I gotta say, this one's much better. Cool voices. B-) This is the perfect song to chillax. For me ha. Haha.
  • Tik Tok by Brittany with New Directions - Don't you just think that Brittany was hot here? HAHA. Seriously, though. She was amazing in here. O_O Even if she puked at Rachel at the end.
  • Animal by Blaine and Kurt with Warblers - Kurt's face!! His animal face! Hahahahaha!! So cute. :D
  • Landslide by Holly with Santana and Brittany - Gad this song just touched me. Santana CRIED. It's the perfect song for her to sing to Brittany.
  • Afternoon Delight by Carl, Puck, Rachel, Emma and Quinn - I don't its lyrics okay!! I just really thought they sang it funny. =))))
  • Misery by Warblers - Oh yeah!
  • Blackbird by Kurt with Warblers - I love this. I love you, Kurt ;)
  • Candles by Blaine and Kurt with Warblers - Another lovely song covered by the Warblers :)
  • Raise Your Glass by Warblers - Ahaha perfect for me 'cause I'm an underdog.
  • Get It Right by Rachel - I first heard this song on Tumblr. Just the song because the Regionals episode wasn't shown yet. And again, Rachel's voice touched my soul . . . How can she relate to me like that? HAHA!
  • Loser Like Me by New Directions - LOSERS! ;)
  • I Feel Pretty / Unpretty by Quinn and Rachel - One of my favorite Glee mash-ups of all time . . . Quinn's soothing voice . . . Ahh. :D
  • Somewhere Only We Know by Warblers - Touching. Second best Warblers cover for me :)
  • As If We Never Said Goodbye by Kurt - I wondered if I'd think of this song on our future high school reunion. HAHAHA!
  • Born This Way by New Directions - Love this version! Plus, they're better role models to become ourselves than Lady Gaga.
  • Songbird by Santana - Another touching song by Santana! Gah :')
  • Go Your Own Way by Rachel - And another anthem. :D
  • Rolling in the Deep by Rachel and Jesse - I practically screamed when I saw Jesse again. Daaaamn! You gotta love this version! It's equally as dramatic as Adele's original, but it has a different arrangement that's really cool! B-)
  • Isn't She Lovely? by Artie - The perfect song to be sung for Brittany, even if it was originally written for a newborn baby! Hahaha! Artie's voice makes it wonderful :')
  • Friday by Puck, Sam and Artie - I can actually listen to this one without making my ears hurt. Sorry RB! Although it must have been an honor for her. . . .
  • Jar of Hearts by Rachel - Hahahahaha. JAR. :P
  • My Cup by Brittany and Artie - Cute Brittany here! :>
  • I Love New York / New York, New York by New Directions - I didn't think it was a mash-up. HAHAHA! Such a catchy song XD
  • Still Got Tonight by Will - An original by Matthew Morrison. :D I actually like this song. Very inspirational. x) I really like his voice :)
  • As Long As You're There by Sunshine with Vocal Adrenaline - Keep up the Filipino pride, Charice! :D
  • Pretending by Rachel and Finn - I don't care if they kissed at the end. Good song. x)

It's Friday, Friday.

We went to UPLB this morning to submit my application forms . . . Unfortunately the registrar said that we should just send it to Diliman via LBC because we won't get to pick up the test permit right away. Major fail. :( Well, not really, because that means we get to go to UP Diliman! Or maybe just dad. Depends if the Office of Admissions is open during Saturdays. I hope it is. I wanna see one of the guardians again! x)

Speaking of guardians, my sister saw Kuya RG at UPLB!! He's from satrape 2. I didn't really know him but he was Chai's guardian and she had a huge crush on him. SSHH!! >:))) Yeah. So cool! I didn't get to see any Bosconians though like Kuya Xtian. Hahaha. Because it was biiiig. If you've gone to AUP, imagine a place like that, but much, much bigger, with jeepneys going back and forth and all over the place. It's that big. If UPD's the main campus, then, is it even bigger than LB? I wonder . . . Hahaha.

Yes, this day was a total failure. But one good thing came out of it. I saw a poster saying, "NO to RH Bill" in the UPLB campus! Isn't that awesome? :D

And I saw Brain Train's main review center. Well, just the sign pointing where it leads :)) I suddenly missed those jeepney rides with my BT peeps. Hahaha. But oh well. I'll make our BT mentors proud by being an UPCAT passer. Heehee.

Lady Crush: LoFro

"If music were turned into a person, it would be you."

The best description anyone could give Lauren. Lauren Froderman, So You Think You Can Dance season 7 winner. And I must say I am quite happy that she won. She deserved it so much! I didn't really get to see the first episode; the first routine of her that I watched was a hiphop routine with Twitch (season 4) of My Chick Bad by Nicki Minaj. Curse YouTube for not allowing all the Lauren videos be embedded here. CRAP. Just click on the links to view the videos :)

To be honest, I wasn't that impressed. I found out she's a contemporary dancer, so for a contemporary dancer dancing a hiphop routine, it was pretty good. And guess what? She'd been the last girl standing since Top 7/8!! How awesome? Way to show girl power all the way, Lauren!! :D She was a member of a dance group in her high school, the student council vice president, aaand she volunteers to teach little kids! Gaaaaaaaaaaah!! I can't help how amazing she is!! x))))

We just watched the last performances of the Top 3 a few hours ago (Yes, I know, we're eight months late), but unfortunately I didn't get to watch her first routine :( But oh well. I watched these ones with Robert and the next one with Kent:

But these are the most sensational. I can't choose which one is better because her performances are, as Nigel said, "damn near perfect." She was hot and sexy, she was bringing it - she's a different person on stage and as a real person. That's the best thing about her. She's got it. SHE'S IT. And she's only 19!! I wish I were as good as her if I were a dancer T_T Haha!

You don't even have to click the first three, just these two!
Not Myself Tonight by Christina Aguilera (Cha-cha-cha routine with all-star Pasha)
I'm Going Down by Mary J Blige (Solo)

See how hot she is?! Gaaaaahh!! Super idol :)) Love you, Lauren! x)

The Epics.

I can't believe I said these stuff in my posts! Haha~

  • "Oh, the heels!" -- During the gratitude day in sophomore year (I was reminiscing the good times) where some students replaced the teachers in their jobs for the entire day. Every part of my body hurt that day. Including my heart.
  • "I have a thing for mystery and thriller stories mixed with romance, because that's what makes it so dramatic!" -- Ahaha. This just made me laugh.
  • "'I think I better leave right now, before I fall any deeper.'" -- A line from a song, used in last year's AI eliminations.
  • "We don't have classes on June 14, right?" -- So relevant right now.
  • "I never get what I want when it comes to sections. Never. Ever."
  • "I'm excited for the field trip and retreat too!" -- My gad :)) I was amazed when I saw this one because these two events are some of those I'll never forget in my whole high school life x]
  • "Jonina, Christine and Vielka are in Mornese. We're far away from each other! Turin is keeping us apart." -- NOT.
  • "We don't know Klariza's section yet because we haven't seen her name in any of the lists."
  • "I wonder who our adviser will be. I hope he/she is a new teacher." -- Why did I wish for that?!
  • "We have a new teacher for an adviser!! Cool. But then my impression of him was that he was strict. Nooooooooooooooo!" -- Cool?! No. Strict?! Yah, right.
  • "And then Cati was next." -- He's in Mornese.
  • "Ron shared us some jokes he learned while he was reviewing at the Brain Train. Then he also shared some awesome facts. They were so cool!" -- BTA, baby!
  • "Then she told us what we're going to study for the whole year. Calligraphy!!" -- The heck? If by whole year you mean half a quarter, then yes, a year indeed!
  • "Hmm, maybe this will be an advantage. During the contests, Tr. Ching will help only us! Hahahaha!!" -- And we lost the English month contest via technical failure.
  • "Golly, he knows a lot of stuff!!" -- I just can't believe I said 'Golly.'
  • "She said she [Tr. Mirose] was also our co-adviser. Cool!" -- I'm so lame at first impressions.
  • "He feels that we're the most organized section."
  • "I will not give up hope that Mira is fun."
  • "Third year life seems crazy." -- And it was.
  • "I'm not a jerk. Unlike some people." -- Could I get more acerbic or what?
  • "I'm tired of giving way. Not this time." -- I tried. Really.
  • "Blue flower. Haha! What if he really gave ME that?"
  • "And now I wanna learn how to drive too."
  • "I'll never forget the fight scene with the Cullens and Victoria's newborns. Yeah. I loved that part." -- Clearly I haven't discovered Harry Potter and his friends yet.
  • "While I was taking the quiz, I suddenly became dizzy. I don't know why that happened. Maybe I wasn't eating too much?" -- What is it with me not eating enough before tests?
  • "I received one recitation point because I got a perfect score, but since I already have seven, Sir Chet told me to 'give it to someone in need.' And so I did. I gave it to Stephan." -- Nice one, me.
  • "I never saw that coming! (Probably because Keanu was doing evil things to my hair.)" -- Disturbia. O_________O
  • "And let's pray that Mirabello will be the one that'll be cut into different buses!" -- And man did we get that one. I regretted that 'prayer' of mine, but hey, it gave way for MIRAZAKI! \m/
  • "Today's the last day of layouting for ECHOES. I didn't want to come, but I did." -- Because I like being in ECHOES that I couldn't let my laziness get in the way :D
  • "Irritated at some of those who just do good things when a particular someone watches them. Ugh, I hate it." -- Don't you do, too? But look, my PONDS days are behind me now! ;)
  • "Wesande? That's Pehlangweh. =)))))"
  • "Another time-consumer was the Chofu section." -- Oh my. =)) I remember this! During the morning assembly and they presented some sort of documentary -___- 'He' was there though x]
  • "Someone's been celebrating the start of gay week..." -- And I remember clearly who he is.
  • "Okay, first of all, the computer in front of me is the noob, and not me. Got that, Annoying Margie?" -- Aww, good times, good times! :))
  • "I just stared at one burger because it was seducing me. Yes, it was!!!! I tried my best to avoid it, but its flirting skills are just so good." -- That just sounds so wrong now :)))
  • "Limiting and excess reactant. It was easy, I guess." -- And during the BT Chem reviewing time I couldn't differentiate which one's which. HAHA.
  • "If I'm going to have a boyfriend someday, I want him to be someone as sweet as Sir Renz." -- WAIT WHAT?
  • "It feels like Freshman year all over again."

Career Choices

While we were eating dinner my dad told me what happened at Sci. Tech. when he picked up our UPCAT Simulations results. There was a female teacher there, and by the descriptions my dad said, she was Ma'am Dewmaine. :)) Wooooo! The teachers there asked dad what course I'm planning to take, and they said I should take Medicine. WAIT, WHAT? They must have gotten the person wrong :)) And then when my dad told them I'll be taking ECE, they were like, "Oh! That's a good choice, she'll get rich with that!" \m/ Oh yes. Now I'm scared though, I hope I'll be able to cope up with that through the years . . . In UP Diliman . . . Ahem . . .

And then my cousin called the wife of one of our uncles. And then SHE talked to ME. She asked me what course I'm going to take, and I said ECE. She asked if I didn't want Medicine and I was like "NOOOOOOOOOO. No way, Jose, no friggin' way." Well yeah, I guess doctors can become really rich, I'm afraid I won't be able to handle surgeries very well. My hands are shaky and that's not good in surgical operations. What if I kill the patient? Instead of gaining more money, I lost my own. Plus I don't really like seeing blood. Or any other fluids coming out of someone's body -___-

Gad that paragraph was getting too sick :)) I'm sorry, don't read that. But you do get my point. You could say I'm hands-on, but only when it comes to inanimate objects. Not humans or any other living things. That's why I admire Ate Alayne and all other peeps who want to be doctors . . . Yayaman kayo diyan. x]

So I filled up my UPCAT Form 1 last night and it asked me my top 2 choices for my campus and courses in each campus. ECE is of course my first choice in Diliman, and Anthropology second. Why? This is a shallow reason, but it's because of Bones. The show? You don't know it? Poor you. It's such a trivial show! Anyway, I got fascinated with anthropology since I first watched it. You don't necessarily get to solve murders but you get to do something as equally, if not more fulfilling as that - discover the wonders of history. And I have always been fascinated by history, even if my AP grades disprove that. How amazing would it be to find an undiscovered animal that had lived on earth years ago and figure out how it had become extinct? Or even define structures of an ancient human being that we don't have anymore today?

There are actually a lot of branches of anthropology, and in Bones's case, it's forensic anthropology. I think it's a lot more complex since murdered bodies have become mutilated by the murderer. But that field of practice is more recognized in the States, though. BUT STILL. I think being an anthropologist is a cool job. At first I was kind of hesitant about it when I put it as my second choice, and then I saw it: Ate Nikki's tweet. She's taking anthropology in UP Diliman! \m/ There are only 8 of them taking that course :)) Is that cool or what? B-) So you might want to try anthropology too. It's a cool course! Especially if you're interested in history and science. ^__^

Miss Philippines Earth 2011

I don't usually watch these kind of special shows on television - as a matter of fact, this is my first time. This year's show got my attention because it was held in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. How awesome, right? They're probably doing it as a part of promoting our New 7 Wonders candidate :)) I wish you do, peoples! www.new7wonders.com :) Haha :))

"Compared to fossil fuels like oil and coal, nuclear power is one of the cleanest, most-cost efficient sources of energy. Do you think the Philippines should use nuclear power plants as an alternative?"

This was the final question for the last five standing candidates in the pageant. If I were asked that question, I'd say yes, our country should use nuclear power. Before the camp, Tr. Jean talked to us about this. And here are the stuff I know - Europe, America, Japan. See the connection? These are some of the most successful countries all over the world. That's because they use nuclear power plants, which, as the question stated, is one of the cheapest. Compared to oil, Uranium has a long half-life, 4.47 billion years, which means that nuclear power plants last longer than oil, which is a non-renewable source. And by the rate the Philippines is using oil, we will have to go back to the old ways and use kalesa since we don't have or can't afford oil anymore. After that, what sources of energy are we going to use? Nuclear power plants. But here's the catch. Tr. Jean told us that there's only one nuclear power plant in the Philippines, and it's in Bataan, but they're not using it. Why? Lack of experience. Handling nuclear power plants, as opposed to what is seen on The Simpsons, requires carefulness. Once there are enough trained handlers of nuclear power plants, we can use them. We will be one step closer to leaving our "third-world country" days behind us and be really successful.

But then stepped one of the candidates, Athena Imperial. And she said no in answer to the question. She enumerated other alternatives to gain sources of energy, like hydroelectric, geothermal and solar power . . . I was just amazed. And then everybody in the audience started applauding and then she was like, "Thank you," and she was all cool and kept that cool, non-intimidating smile that not many can achieve. She was like an angel x] I loved her answer too! And she kept that confidence all throughout. You proved that nothing is more attractive in a Filipina like intelligence ;) Congratulations for being Miss Philippines Earth 2011!! :D
