I WISH!! =))))) Ahahaha just kidding. I have a new layout for my blog! As you can obviously see. So if you've gotten tired of the old one, this one's a treat for you. I like it. It's simple and therefore elegant. :) Ang weird nga lang kapag may picture kasi hindi nagne-new paragraph yung text. But it's okay I guess :D

We just returned from the dentist today . . . She put an elastic on the right side of my mouth. O_______O It reminded me of Lee DeWyze and he got mocked by TMZ because they thought it was saliva but it turned it they were elastics :))))) MAJOR FAIL. Yeah, that's the first thing that came to my mind! Haha! It feels weird. Hmmmm.

By the way, we saw the trailer of the movie "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" before we watched X-Men yesterday . . . TOM FELTON IS THERE. Yeah! Oh man :))))) Haha!

OMG. I'm going to school tomorrow to get back my UPCAT Form 2. That means I'm going to see my grades . . . And more importantly my rank . . . Bloody hell. Haha. Weeew. Wish me luck X_X

Weekend! Weekend!

So Michelle and I got our results of our UPCAT Simulations last May 23 . . . Guess what I got. Haha. And I'll let you guess because I'm not gonna tell you. xP Basta, English results were awesome -- especially in Reading Comprehension because I was sooo hungry then; Math was satisfactory but I could do much better; and Science . . . Well. Let's just say it was sort of expected. And I didn't expect my Science results to be super high. As a matter of fact, they were super low. My UPG? I'd like to think that the grades I put had a lot of impact on that . . . It got me scared, because yeah my UPG passed the Manila campus cut-off, but ECE is a quota course, and so I have to work my butt off. So yeah. That was a wake-up call for me.

Earlier today 4 seniors (Michelle, Nero, Glenn and Takuya) and 4 ESC officers (me, Danielle, Giselle and Inah) went to Brgy. Carmen to help distribute the textbooks the CDBS elementary department donated. (Heads up, seniors: That's where we're going to for our SAP for the whole year.) The younger ones were so ecstatic and sooo cute! Like seriously! There was a dog and they said its name was Ampatuan :)) What an awesome name for a dog =)) And one even looked like the wife of my cousin + Dawn! XD Si Dawn Pascual ha. HAHA. Because she's singkit. Gad, what is it about chinitos and chinitas that are so cute? :)))))

And then we went on to the older kids for a while . . . Well, at least they looked older than the firs batch we saw. XD But they were quiet! And that just proved that older kids prefer looking somewhat cool by being quiet. But maybe they're just really shy. :)) Still, though . . . :)) And then we saw Ate Johannah. Cool beans!! XD Turns out her family's helping them :) How awesome :) I saw her little sister for the first time . . . She's cute! xP

We started helping out in the distribution, slippers first. Well, you know, I could've done my job much better than I did if it weren't for the women in blue . . . It kinda pissed me off, they were always showing up and not letting us do our duty. Tsssss. But still, we got to help! :) It made me sad and happy at the same time. I felt that feeling again, you know, thanking the Lord for everything that I have, and that I don't want to just piss them away. And I felt sad for the kids. They only get one book each. While I was there I was thinking of how I could help them when I become rich and able to help these people suffering from poverty. Maybe a could build a new home or a school? If I take up CE. Give away phones? As if that's gonna help them -- it's not even helping me. Basta, I'll figure it out, and I know I'm gonna fulfill this promise. So Denise, never forget this, okay?

After going home and eating lunch and preparing and all that mess, we went off for Alabang. Haha and while dad wasn't in the car yet, I drooove! My mom and cousin and sister were there. Oh, and guess how far I drove. =)) INCHES. =)))))))) Baby steps, okay?! Baby steps!! \m/ =)) It ain't instant, you know. You still have to adjust your mirror, and then step on the brakes first, put down the handbrake, shift to Drive (D) mode, and then step on the gas. I actually drove a distance! Kahit ganun lang kaikli yun, I already felt that exhilaration! :)) I was scared kasi. (Conyo much?) I'm glad no one bumped into us or anything XDXDXD

My sister, cousin and I were dropped off at Festival while my parents went to another place. The two had their haircut at Tony & Jackey, a Korean salon. :)) You should see my sister's hair now . . . She looks hella different >:) And then, we went to DQ and I ordered the "usual" CHAMJDV order. :)) I missed that! But it almost gave me a sore threat so I stopped eating na :)) And then we headed to the cinemas to buy a ticket for X-Men: First Class. We chose the one showing at 5:10 (we arrived at the cinema 10 minutes before five). The seating's like the one at ATC now, we actually got to choose our seats :D Or maybe it was just for this particular movie. I dunno, it's our first time to encounter that choose your own seats thing :)

After hunting down our food and going to the CR, we entered the movie house just in time for the trailers. We saw one, and it was starring Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy. The movie's entitled, "Monte Carlo." I sooo wanna watch that just because of the cast. XD (Katie Cassidy is Juliet, Serena's jail boyfriend's sister, from Gossip Girl.) And Cory Monteith has a role there, too! I'm looking to him acting not as Finn and in a movie ;) We even saw the HP7 part 2 trailer :)))) A few more trailers later, the actual film was played. I haven't watched all the X-Men movies :)) I beg you for forgiveness :)) But this movie is one worth watching in the cinemas. You don't want to miss it especially if you're an X-Men fan :) I liked it, even if I'm not. I like movies of how things started and how they came to be . . . It's amazing :)

So I just found out that our meetings next week from Wednesday to Friday are cancelled . . . Like what the heck? I was really looking forward for this one since we have nothing else planned anymore. What am I gonna do, label my books and cover them? Yeah, I guess that's a good idea . . . Hahaha, and I just found out whom I'm grouped with as facilitators for the acquaintance party . . . Totally got my wish. Great team colors, great team co-leaders. Oh yes. The MC family is reunited =)))))

So, who's excited for school? xP

Maddi Jane

So many thoughts. I'm sorry, Raya told me all about this girl and another girl known by some YouTubers as "Petra M.," and if you haven't figured it out now, I'm bored and have nothing to do so I checked them out.

I first played her cover of Rolling in the Deep, originally sung (and composed) by Adele. I first heard it on Glee though . . . Anyway, I couldn't believe how young she is. She's only 12 years old, and she can already belt it out like Demi. :) Although I was more fascinated by the guitar because I really loved it. Hahaha. Maddi Jane's voice is truly amazing and astounding, but it lacks that emotion that I feel in the singers that I love. I guess it's because of her age, and she hasn't experienced heartbreak yet. AND THAT'S GOOD! She shouldn't until, like, 18 or something. But she is a good singer. :D This is my favorite video of her:

Price Tag, a Jessie J original. This song has a fun vibe and doesn't require much emotion, so I think this song is perfect for her. I'm glad she did a cover of this. Plus, she looked cute in the video! :D

America's Next Top Role Model

ANTM is moving onto its 17th cycle, and it's going to be an all star one. But before all that, I'll tell you who my favorites are. But since I'm not a model and just a model-wannabe, I won't just count their modeling skills but their awesome personalities as well. I've only seen the latest cycles though so I won't be able to count the first ten cycles. xP

Best Role Models

Ann Ward, Cycle 15 (Winner) :: I think it's safe to say that almost everyone loved her awkwardness, which would always result to her stunning and amazing photos. Everybody said she'd crack under pressure, but she had five consecutive best photos - and I think during the 2nd week she even cried because she didn't think she'd done well, but she still ended up winning the best photo of the week. She didn't let the intimidation of the girls or the pressure of being someone like them or even her height get to her; she only focused on herself. Guess what? She was the first one to win a spread in Italian Vogue and when she came back in cycle 16, she was even more beautiful than she was before. She is truly an inspiration. I love her.
Raina Hein, Cycle 14 (1st runner-up) :: Yes, Krista had been better than her during the ANTM days. She had a stronger walk and fierce personality, but she always backstabbed Raina (along with Alexandra and some other insecure girls) because of her vibrant personality. Raina never did anything to them, and tried her best to just stay out of the drama and looking as fierce as she ever could. Tyra loves her wolf-like eyes; I love how she's like a ninja. Looking at her portfolio now, you'd never think she was the nerd in high school, who crawled out of her shy little bubble and gained confidence through volleyball. And from there, she started discovering her passion for modeling. A few months ago she signed a deal with Wilhemina Models, a prize for the ANTM winner. See? She didn't need to win, because she could do it on her own. The latest news about her? She's been asked to visit Dubai twice during their fashion week (Vera Wang), she's made her first editorial video, she's included in a European commercial, and she's going to appear in a music video which will be released some time this month. (Oh yes, I keep updated with this Minnesota ninja right here. She is that fabulous.)
Laura Kirkpatrick, Cycle 13 (1st runner-up) :: I love Nicole [Fox] as much as the next girl, but Laura captured me a tad more than her because of her dyslexia. In one challenge, the girls had to interview Jessica Lowndes, one of the cast of 90210 (love her by the way). And Laura, having severe dyslexia, had trouble reading the teleprompter but she still went on with the show. It wasn't only for that time but also when they were going to do their very first Cover Girl commercial shoot and they had to write their own scripts. And again, Laura has trouble memorizing stuff, but guess what? She pulled that commercial off. She, Raina, Jessica, and two other past-ANTM models actually did a shoot together.

I also loved Nicole [Fox] (cycle 13, winner) as I said earlier, Anya Kop (cycle 10, runner-up), Jessica Serfaty (cycle 14), Hannah Jones (cycle 16), Brittani Kline (cycle 16, winner), and Kayla Ferrell (cycle 15). I love Kayla, she's wonderful. :)

I was supposed to continue this and name my list of "worst models from ANTM," but I guess that'd be kind of rude. You know, even if they don't know about this, it's still best to respect everyone. Hahaha. Okay. Chow~

Puerto Princesa: City in the Forest (Day 5)

That had been our breakfast for the past four days :)))) Talk about umay. Haha! XD The dinners we had made up for it though. Mmmm. :)

After breakfast, we rode the tricycle and went to the baywalk. The tricycle driver was just really awesome . . . he even sort of toured us :)) It's like, everyone there knows the places to go over at Puerto Princesa and they're all so nice :) The tricycle driver offered to wait for us when we finish taking pictures at the baywalk. And believe me, that took a few minutes.

Haha! :)) And then we went to the souvenir shop again to buy souvenir shirts. Yahoo :)) We went back to the hotel at around 9 in the morning and finalized our things, then went straight to the airport at 9:30. When we got there, there were almost no other people even if the flight was scheduled at 11 o'clock. But guess what. My mom got it all wrong!! 11 o'clock was actually the estimated time of arrival in Manila :)))) Fail, mom. :)))) But we still got checked in, thank the Lord.

Eh, that's pretty much it :))

Flashback Attack

Flashbacks. Memories. We always get that bittersweet feeling when we remember them. We relive in our minds that wonderful feeling, and in the end you get a sharp pang of pain because you know you'll never have them again.

This afternoon, I didn't expect it to happen, but I suddenly caught myself thinking about Nica and Margie. How Margie would always push my chair in the IT lab, and how she and Nica torture me during quarterly exams . . . Without them, I dunno if I'll have that much craziness again in those times, you know, with my new classmates. But hey, I wasn't close with Margie when the school year started, it might happen again this year. But still, it's not going to be the same without the same people, eh?

Right now I'm texting Raya and we both feel a bit sad that we only got to be classmates for a year . . . And she was a freshman then. I am glad though that I got to be one of her first friends in CDBS. :) I miss when I was still taller than and I was always behind her when we line up . . . And I (actually everyone) would tease her and laugh and listen to her blabbers . . . :)) Those little moments that catch my attention. They made me wish these people are my classmates this year but nooooo . . .

Sigh. Oh well. It's time to move on. Speaking of that, how do you do it? You know, when it comes to a person? I've always been telling myself to do it, but the announcement . . . The thought of the two people I'd hate to be classmates THE MOST are friggin' classmates for the year . . . It's just plain cruel. The thought is literally too much to bear. Psshh.

On an unrelated note . . . Eminence, Meg, Giselle, my sister and I planned the activities for the acquaintance party for this year. Eminence sent the minutes of the online meeting, and Sir Chris, our adviser, sent it to the teachers and told us they were amazed by it. :)) Good job ESC!! :D I hope you, my fellow constituents, enjoy it :))))) Seriously, it was rather fulfilling. There's gonna be much more in store and that's what I'm really excited about. T'was really good. B-)

Puerto Princesa: City in the Forest (Day 4)

After we had eaten breakfast, we rode the van to go to the mall. Then we waited for the bus to take us to the Honda Bay Wharf. Right after we got off the bus we stepped on the boat. It wasn't the same as the one we rode when we went island hopping though, and this had a name. Calypso 10. It reminded me of the girl that Percy Jackson met when he got lost and he almost didn't want to leave because of her. :))

It was a one hour boat ride. So I slept. :)) And then we got there, and the view was just so . . . awesome. The reason it isn't included in the island hopping is because it was a private island, and it was a really big one. It's a resort. We were just there for the day trip. Weeeee. These are the rooms that the overnight stay-ers will, well, stay.

Once we got off the boat we were given complimentary drinks. Awesome, eh? When we looked for the open huts, there were none anymore. Wew! Fortunately we found some tables and chairs near a tree shade. :) We changed clothes, and we headed off for snorkeling.

We don't have any pictures because we weren't supposed to use the underwater cases they sold at the wharf. But here's the story. So we rode that speed boat (yes, we're always riding boats! Isn't that fun?) and went to the floating snorkeling station in the middle of the ocean. I know, right? :)) It was pretty deep, but we were wearing life jackets while snorkeling. The water there was really deep, and in the water near the snorkeling station there weren't any corals. All I saw was some sort of dust, until I realize it's sand. I went a bit farther, and I saw them. There were a lot of 'em. It was sooo cool. It's like a whole underwater forest in there or something :)) It was truly magnificent. x]

Except for them jellyfish. :))))) I saw one and was just strolling right under me. I swam away from it immediately :)))) What else can I do? I might have stung me! It was little, but I know it's full of some electrical substance to paralyze me. HAHAHA JOKE that was OA. Still, though. We went back to the floating station. My cousin saw more fish under the station! They were in schools. It was awesome. :))))

And then we went back. Guess what we did? \m/

We went kayaking! \:D/ That was my first time to do it for real - because I always did that on the Wii. =)))) It was sooo friggin' hard! Because I was a lame-o. :))))) We stopped first because our arms started to hurt, and it was time for lunch. We went to the dining hall and then . . . I saw it. It was a beauty. A band set-up. I swear the whole lunch time I just wanted to go up there and sing.

After that we went straight to kayaking again. \m/ I went a bit farther this time!! :))))) It was fun! There were more sea grass on the far side of the beach. T'was cool. B-) But then the clouds condensed and condensed more and it became dark, so I stopped and went back to mom and dad.

That's when it started to rain. Wew!! We went to the main lobby of the resort. We asked if there was a karaoke bar, and there was!! When we went there, unfortunately, there were three people occupying the room, since it was a first come, first serve place. So we played table football instead.

Ahaha. It was fuuuun. :))))) And then, luckily, the family went out of the KTV room, and we stepped in. OH YEAH!! But we were only there for like 30 minutes because we should board the boat at around 3:30 in the afternoon :)) But still! It was goooood. B-)

Another one hour boat ride. When we got home, we prepared for dinner. We rode a tricycle going to Salo, a restaurant near The Legend Hotel, and guess what? It's a KTV bar!! We went to a room with a karaoke and we just started singing our hearts out there while waiting for the food.

We were mostly rockin' it out in the My Chemical Romance songs :)))))))))

We stayed there for three friggin' hours. When we got back at the hotel I was sooo cold and my arms hurt so bad my dad massaged them :)) But hey, it was one amazing night. :D
