Discovering new songs! I was actually supposed to download more, but I'm currently LSS-ed with two songs, one from Sam Tsui (this one) and Katy Perry. :D Yeah, that's my pastime now, eh? Haha. I've been feeling semi-bitter - semi lang, kasi hindi naman ako yung nagagalit ganun - but still, bitter. These songs are therapeutic. Haha. I mean, just look at the four songs on my playlist here: Don't Want an Ending, Rolling in the Deep, Broken Arrow, and What to Do. Ahahahaha. The song Don't Want an Ending makes me miss everyone more. You know, the ones I'm never going to see again. That still saddens me. Chematrix, Miss Ara and Miss Val . . . and one other person who doesn't care about me anymore. Or I dunno, because we never talk. Ahaha.

Was I cursed to enjoy just one day and be all sulky again the next? Or is it just me? *sigh* Last night was great. Watched the latter part of Peter Pan. Jeremy Sumpter is hot. Too bad I just realized that now. HAHA. And I was also chatting with some people, and they lifted up my spirits without them knowing. It was amazing. Haha. Because I was laughing with them for random reasons. You weren't there. I think that's what made it even greater.

I also just realized that I'm going to do a lot of changes next school year, both academically and personally. It feels like I've said this a thousand times before. Call me excited. But still. Yeah . . . Good luck to us, seniors. O___O Yes I just called us that.

Glee: A Recap

Glee's second season is ending! Yes, since season 1, Finn had already broken up with Quinn and got together with Rachel then back with Quinn; Quinn had given birth to Beth; Quinn, Santana, and Brittany are out of the Cheerios; Jesse St. James is in college but dropped out (or should I say failed); Sam and Sunshine had joined the group. Actually in the middle of season 2 I started losing interest in the show, but after regionals, I got hooked again. And so, starting today, I'm gonna start a tradition with this blog, in honor of Glee. :D I shall post my favorite songs in each season. So since the first season is the only season that's finished right now, I shall tell you my favorite Glee season 1 covers!

Can't Fight This Feeling by Finn - I used to sing this while washing the dishes. Hahaha.
You're the One that I Want by New Directions - Even though it's short, I loved Finn's birit here. :D
Don't Stop Believin' by New Directions - Inspirational. :) This really got me going during 2nd year actually. XD
I Say a Little Prayer by Quinn with Santana and Brittany - Quinn's first big break! Loved her voice. Quite angelic.
Take a Bow by Rachel - Cause I was bitter then. But seriously, Rachel has an amazing voice. I'm gonna punch anyone who doesn't agree.
Taking Chances by Rachel - I dunno, it always seems like Rachel/Lea Michele has her way of adding more drama into a song, and that's what I love about her. :)
Alone by April and Will - I just loved that they made it a duet here. Haha. I liked Will's voice. He's awesome.

Thong Song by Will - Will's voice was really awesome here. Haha. I liked this song back then. ;)
Sweet Caroline by Puck - Puck!! His debut on Glee! He was really cute singing this, and it's perfect for him. :)
Dancing with Myself by Artie - This one's also a catchy song! Haha. And this was the first time I heard Artie sing solo. I loved it.
Defying Gravity by Rachel and Kurt - This song simply inspires me. :) I also loved this episode, when Kurt sang it off-key at one part on purpose for Rachel. Or at least that's what I perceive it to be, because I believe that Kurt is that of an amazing person.
Endless Love by Rachel and Will - Even though watching the two of them perform on the show kind of grossed me out, I must admit, they did the song justice.
Don't Stand So Close to Me / Young Girl by Will - Will's voice! I really loved his songs on the first season. Haha. It was pure awesomeness.
Papa Don't Preach by Quinn with Puck - I loved the guitar part of the song!! That's what really made it stand out. And Quinn's voice!

Like a Prayer by New Directions - Again, Rachel's "drama" gave me the chills in this one when she sang the first few lines. The New Directions can really turn any already awesome song into an even more awesome one.
Run, Joey, Run by Rachel, Jesse, Finn and Puck - This one is another one of those Rachel-fied songs. Ahaha! It's sooo dramatic. And scandalous! But it's pretty amazing.
Jessie's Girl by Finn - Awwww, Finn. Too bad you lost your chance. Ahaha. I loved this song. I used to relate. Hahaha! No seriously, I loved the guitar part here. :)
Dream On by Will and Bryan (NPH) - So much power!! Haha! I loved that the two of them sang this song together!
I Dreamed a Dream by Rachel and Shelby - Rachel + Rachel's mom = drama drama drama. Hahaha! This one actually almost made me cry.
Bad Romance by New Directions females with Kurt - Did you see their outfits here?! They were so friggin' amaaaazing!! I especially loved Quinn's outfit. But they're all Lady Gaga-like! Hahaha!
Poker Face by Rachel and Shelby - This actually mindfreaked me. They turned Lady Gaga's original song into something of their own with the use of the piano. I just really find that amazing. One of my all-time favorites from Glee. :)
Bohemian Rhapsody by Vocal Adrenaline - Another one of my all-time favorites! Because this is such an epic song. And I was LSS-ed with this for most of the school year, even my classmates sang it with me. Hahaha!
To Sir, with Love by New Directions - Such a touching song :) It's amazing. Haha.

I added two more songs in my playlist! :D The one playing right now is called "Don't Want an Ending," an original song by famous YouTube singer Sam Tsui. I first heard him when he sang "Summer Pop Medley" with Kurt Hugo Schneider. I loved that song. And also his cover of "Just a Dream" with Christina Grimmie (Tama ba?). In conclusion he is an awesome singer. :)) Next to that song is Glee's cover of "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele. Their rendition was just amazing. I love that Jonathan Groff and Lea Michele were the ones that got to sing that. They were the perfect ones (or should I say two???) to sing that. :D

Moving on, I was kind of hinting mom about how ugly our phones are already. :)) And then she said she could give us a Qwerty phone. You know, like the Nokia C3 that I'd wanted so badly. But we don't want to. Oh, believe me, I really really really really want that kind of phone. But RCBC, where my mom works, is kind of connected to Smart. And if she wants to avail a free phone, it has to be Smart, because it's a plan. -.- Daaaaaaaaamn!! Actually I could use that phone to text my satrapemates. But my classmates and batchmates? I doubt it. Lalo pa ngayong 4th year na, I'm going to need a lot of communication with the people. Ahehe may ganun. Ugh . . . Can't I keep this phone and that Qwerty one? T-T

Okay, Brain Train talk. :D This is just going to be quick. We had two new teachers today, Sir Xander and Ma'am Dewmaine. I really like that name, Dewmaine. It's so . . . unique. x] And she's cool. All Brain Train English teachers are cool. :D But I miss Miss Ara. :( And Miss Valerie. :( I miss Miss Ara more though :)) She's just so awesome! Swerte ng mga magbe-Brain Train sa Don Bosco. Haha! But Sir Luigi and Sir Irvin are back today. Sir Luigi looked more like a guy now. He actually looked ~~cute.~~ O____O And we were supposed to have Sir Erwin today, but Sir Arman replaced him. -____- Sir Arman is Sir AR by the way. Sabi sa inyo AR Rahman yun eh! Hahahaha joke. Yeah. That's it. Had a, um, nice day today. I was laughing and smiling the whole time. GOOD VIBES! Lolz.

Random :)

Is it bad that I don't like watching Pinoy movies? I don't really like TV shows or movies or even songs that depict the same theme over and over and over again. And most Filipino movies have that same theme, and that's the main reason I don't like watching them. BUT, earlier today, I saw the trailer of Star Cinema's latest movie called In the Name of Love, (another thing with these movies are their titles, like are they too lazy to think of an epic one that they just go with lyrics from a song or song titles instead? Haha) and I was kind of in awe. Because first of all, I didn't know Aga and Angel could dance. :)) Like that. :)) And they were actually pretty good. At first though there's that theme again, when you fall in love with someone you're not supposed to because you're with someone else. And then at the end of the trailer someone was going to shoot someone! Hahaha epic!! No, seriously. The trailer already has that high quality, and it's really a teaser. Because the gun was shot but they didn't show who the shooter was and who was actually shot, of course. I dunno, I guess I just like that it has a suspense at the end. I dunno. :)))) Mom even said, "Bitin," haha. But we're not going to watch it in the cinemas because it was for adults daw. Mom am I not an adult yet? I'm 16!! Ahahahahaha. I don't want to be one anyway.

Blogger, Y U left for 2 days.

So I just realized how boring my life would be if there were no Brain Train this year. It's weird how I enjoy academic stuff. Is it weird? Yeah, it's just stupid. I'm not reading books that much anymore. Yeah, I'm still saving up for a new phone that I've been saving up for since January but my mom wants us to keep our old phones unless it's already broken down or something, and unfortunately I take care of that phone so, well, carefully.

Aha! I just thought of an argument for mom. Yes . . . She will think about it. . . . >:)

What this is really about is what I've been doing since Thursday, because we didn't have classes yesterday so we have a looong weekend. I'm not complaining, because commuting is starting to get really tiring. And irritating because of the heat. I wish we were near Los Banos so we could have reviewed there and it was aircon. ~~But hey, at least we met the CSA peeps!~~

I've been watching movies. I'm weird because I didn't like watching movies much before. I'd rather watch TV series because it's lengthier. I guess you could say I started liking movies in 3rd year. I mean, of course I watched movies before, but I like them more now because at least I could start and end them properly, unlike in TV shows when I have to catch them on their airtime which is really hard because of the hectic schedule. So 4th year's gonna be even more hectic, but thank the Lord for movies.

Yes, I will recommend you some good movies to watch/download if you're bored for the rest of the summer. Onti lang naman, since the downloaded movies are SO BAGAL.

First up is I Am Number Four. I've heard that this movie isn't so good, but I still downloaded it. Ya wanna know why? Because of Alex Pettyfer. And Dianna Agron, of course. (I love how her character is so different here from Quinn.) I actually didn't know Alex Pettyfer until Michelle, Hanna, Irish and I watched him on Beastly, but that's on the next paragraph. Aaanyway, I've read this book before, and the first thing I thought of was how the author was so conceited because the planets and names and all those kinds of stuff were all related to him. Am I overreacting with that? I hated Henri in the movie, because in the book he was so fatherly to John even if he wasn't, and in the movie he was just a hot-headed asshole. He even looked like a friggin' hippie in the first part, and not the Vanessa Hudgens in Beastly type, which was cute. And Sam, John's best friend, played by Callan McAuliffe, was also different in the movie, because in the book he was so so geeky and in the movie he was cute that I almost didn't think that that was Sam. Wow, I just realized that I'm not talking good things about the movie. Sorry about that . . . Hmm, good things. Number Six was really awesome. Girl power!! \m/ She has shown more in the movie rather than in the book, but eh, who cares because she blew a lot of stuff up. Isn't that awesome?

A Beautiful Mind. This one is set in the 1950s. Cool, eh? It's a story about a man (and I couldn't say young man because he looked friggin' old already) who went to Harvard to study engineering. And he was really good. So good, that he didn't attend classes anymore. No, seriously. He's a genius. After his class graduated he even worked for some secret government agency thing and runs a school. And he fell in love with one of his students. Guys, I intended to finish the movie, but my eyes got tired and the character was just plain old. It was freaky. I'm sorry. Wow, trash talk again. :)) I wanted to watch the whole thing because, by the end of the movie, we find out that the main character actually has schizophrenia. It's a disease where you can't differentiate fantasy from reality, and when you have that disease you start to say and do eerie things, and everyone will think that you're crazy. I soooo wanted to watch. But the guy was just sooo old. I couldn't picture it anymore.

I Love You Man! Starring Marshall!! :))) Yes, that was probably the main reason why I wanted to watch this movie. Haha! I thought this was going to be an awesome movie. It's good, mind you, but I just expected it to be a lot funnier, because, well, it's Marshall, and the guy named Paul Rudd. XD But I guess this movie has a really nice lesson: You can't live an awesome life without a best friend. :D

Beastly. :"""> So Michelle, Hanna, Irish and I watched this at SM the 2nd day of Brain Train for my birthday. Haha! Alex Pettyfer played the main character. I didn't think he was going to be that hot. I am so glad he proved me wrong. As in, first scene pa lang, you can already see the hotness. His hair here was much awesomer than in I Am Number Four. This story is nicer, too. Like Beauty and the Beast. I keep my word, this is one of the nicest movies I've ever seen. :) I loved the cast, the presence of Neil Patrick Harris (and as a blind man) made me love it even more. Of course, magpapatalo ba si Vanessa Hudgens? Haha! I was really amazed by her performance, cause it's the first one I've seen that was different from her role as Gabriella. Gaaaah. If you haven't watched this movie, you better do, especially for those who wants to watch romantic movies and stuff like that. This one certainly made me a hopeless romantic again. x]

The Prestige. "Are you watching closely?" This movie was directed by Chris Nolan, who also directed Inception. I said this so that you'll have a background already of how awesome this movie is. Plus, Hugh Jackman is here! Wolverine plays a magician! Yes, a magician - not a wizard. The prestige is the part of a magic trick where you get to really amaze your viewers, because it's the part when you come back after you disappear. Hugh Jackman's character, and the other guy, his enemy, are always competing with their magic tricks. But the awesomeness will be revealed in the later part. Man. :)) This is a creepy movie, but it's absolutely worth watching!

And last but definitely not the least because I really was saving this for last because it's really awesome . . . Memento. This was also directed by Chris Nolan. (You see, Emi was suggesting me Chris Nolan movies because they were absolutely mindfreaking. So yes, I'm checking it out.) I like this better than The Prestige, but it's on the same level of awesomeness. This is about a guy who got in an accident when he tried to save his wife from being raped and murdered. After the incident, he "couldn't make new memories." Like, he'd do one thing for a while and the next, he'd be confused and wonder where he is. But it isn't amnesia, because he could still clearly remember everything before the incident. So he'd always take pictures, write notes and even tattoo the words on his body so that he wouldn't get lost on his way to finding the man who murdered his wife. And Chris Nolan, he has a different way of lining the scenes up. At first you kinda wouldn't get it but you'd catch on later. Seriously, this is a mindfreak movie. I mean, I'm still thinking right now about how those things could possibly be. That's how awesome it is.

By the way, I've switched to a new torrent-downloading site because the old one I was using doesn't display how many seeds the movie has - more seeds, faster download. Yeah. I started downloading Flipped a very long time ago - heck, I downloaded it before all these movies. It has just one seed, and it's almost finished, but still I have to wait, because, as I said, it just has one seed. -.- But I know it'll be worth it. :D

And by the way, watching movies isn't my only pastime this summer . . . You know, besides reviewing. ARE YOU AN OTAKU? Or Otakii, or something like that. I found out that one of my satrapemates is one, and she absolutely loooves Maid-Sama. Another satrapemate of mine is also on Otaku, but she doesn't watch/read it. So my interest in that manga got piqued even more - Vielka, Meg, Regina, Abby, Emi and Chai are some people I know who also watches them. Mainly because Usui Takumi is hot. Or something. I find him charming. ;) Haha. Yes, I've started reading it. And so far, here's what I know: It's about a high school student named Misaki Ayuzawa, a Student Council president at Seika High, a school that was once an all-boys school, and she was the first female president. Her father left her and since then she's become a "man-hater," always biased to the girls and prejudiced about boys. She secretly works as a maid at a cafe so that she'll earn money for her family. One day Usui Takumi, her "rival" (he and she are the top students), finds out about her big secret. BUT he doesn't reveal it to everyone. And he's just charming. Absolutely charming. I'm already hooked, actually. :D

I've read two mangas before - Koukou Debut and Goong, both suggested by Margie before. But I couldn't finish it. Sooo long. :)) Sorry Margie xP

Boring summer. Hehehe. But I ain't complaining. At least my life has a chance to be boring before the year starts. And it starts friggin' early.

By the way, let me take this opportunity to brag about my satrapemate. :)))) She's an incoming 3rd year student, she lives in Mindanao, although not a Muslim. I THINK. O_______O Anyway, haha, we were chatting and talking about courses. When I asked her what hers is going to be, she said Accountancy then Law. And I was like "O______________O". Law. For a while my mouth was open even if it was online. Seriously. Law!! I am really amazed at her. :)) AND she plans to study at Ateneo de Davao University, and she was saying it like it wasn't such a big deal! Well, girl, it is to me! :D I just wanted to thank her because she told our satrapemates to pray for me for the UPCAT. x] Thanks a lot, mate! :))

"A large family is a sign of God's blessings."

Which is the most spoken language in the world?

Most people who are asked this question will most probably answer American English. That was my answer, too, when I was first asked this when I was younger. But I was completely wrong and astonished to find out that the correct answer is Chinese. I then asked my own question: Why? A few years later I found out the answer to that – China is the most populous country in the world.

And as a matter of fact, as of 2010, the United States of America is only third, lagging behind India by 700 million. Our country is 12th, with 99 million citizens, which pushed the government to propose this Reproductive Health Bill.

A little bit of research told me that the history of reproductive health in our country actually dates back to 1967, when leaders of 12 countries including our very own Former President and maniac Dictator Ferdinand Marcos signed the Declaration on Population, wherein the Philippines agreed that the population problem can be considered as the principal element for long-term economic development.

Economics states that the main goal of any problem is achieved when every man works for himself. After watching the first half of the movie “A Beautiful Mind,” a story about a man who studied at Harvard to be an engineer and developed the mental illness called schizophrenia, I do not believe this theory. Because it’s when every man works not only for himself but also for his companions that we can co-exist harmoniously.

More research led to knowledge that House bills 101 and 513, and Senate Bill 2378 define the term “reproductive health care” as follows:

Reproductive Health Care – refers to the state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, in all matters relating to the reproductive system and to its functions and processes. This implies that people are able to have a satisfying and safe sex life, that they have the capability to reproduce and the freedom to decide if, when and how often to do so, provided that these are not against the law. This further implies that women and men attain equal relationships in matters related to sexual relations and reproduction.

House Bill 96 replaces “have a satisfying and safe sex life” with “ENJOY responsible and safe SEX.” Yes, reproductive health care encourages us to enjoy having sex with everyone.

Meanwhile, Reproductive Rights are defined by House Bills 101, 513, 1160, 3387, and Senate Bill 2378 as follows:

The rights of individuals and couples, to decide freely and responsibly whether or not to have children; the number, spacing and timing of their children; to make other decisions concerning reproduction free of discrimination, coercion and violence; to have the information and means to do so; and to attain the highest standard of sexual and reproductive health.

Most people, especially teenagers, will not see the underlying messages in these accounts. You see, politicians are very familiar with the law and loopholes and verbal engineering. This means that with their deceptive words, they can disguise anything evil as something good. When they say that people will be able to enjoy responsible sex, they are also implying that we, young adults, and even younger children, can enjoy sex legally, since children and teens are also individuals. So, if this RH Bill gets approved, I can have sex with anyone I want and not get punished!

The content of the bill is divided into 34 sections, including (7) access to family planning, (10) family planning supplies as essential medicines, (14) benefits for serious and life-threatening reproductive health conditions, (16) mandatory age-appropriate reproductive health and sexuality education, (20) ideal family size, (21) employers’ responsibilities. There are a lot more but these are the ones that got my attention – and it ain't good.

“The bill mandates the government to ‘promote, without bias, all effective natural and modern methods of family planning that are medically safe and legal.’” Yes, modern methods like using IUD’s. IUD stands for intra-uterine device, a “birth-control device” placed in the uterus to prevent pregnancy. And it’s something that looks like this:

Yes, they put that into your body, ladies. I’m not old-fashioned – believe me, because I am a girl who is hungry for a Macbook Pro, an HD video camera, my own electric guitar, and a new state-of-the-art phone, like an iPhone 5 maybe. But seeing an object like IUD knowing that it can be put inside my body like it’s some evolution of the sonogram device . . . It completely freaks me out. Plus the combined estrogen-progesterone contraceptives. Do you know what the term carcinogenic means? It comes from the word carcinogens, substances that, when taken in, increase the risk of having cancer. These estrogen-progesterone contraceptives, the most common type prescribed globally, are carcinogenic. When you take these, you are not only killing a baby fetus but you are killing yourself as well. And the cost of two deaths at the price of one? Isn’t that what the RH Bill wants? To lessen the population? By taking these contraceptives, you are helping them achieve that goal.

“Under the bill, age appropriate reproductive health and sexuality education is required from grade five to fourth year high school using ‘life-skills and other approaches.’” Oh my God. What “skills and approaches” are you talking about? Like the cambio and other “approaches” and whatnot? Don’t judge me for knowing these (I’ve had boy servicemates my entire life); I am merely stating a point. Anyone would be a fool to think that this sex education in schools will actually help stop teens to engage in intercourse. And frankly, we already know all about two people kissing and sleeping together and “making love” because of media. Yes, media has already exposed us to these kinds of scenes, and we don’t need to see these on the one place besides our home where we were supposed to be taught moral values.

Now, the proponents (the douchebags that proposed the bill) are saying that the bill is supposed to keep maternal deaths from occurring. They argue that ten to eleven maternal deaths daily could be reduced if they had access to basic health care and essential minerals like iron and calcium, according to DOH. Well, if that’s the case, the solution is very simple. The government simply has to provide food like milk, cheese, fruits, sea vegetables and fish to people, especially mothers, who couldn’t afford them. If that truly is the main purpose of the RH Bill, this is a better alternative. The problem with you people is that you are always trying to complicate these things because of the law, when the key approach to science is the basic and simple concepts.

The opponents of the bill argue that the bill takes away limited government funds from treating many high priority medical and food needs and transfers them to fund harmful and deadly devices. Latest studies show that the ordinary birth control pill and IUD are abortifacient to fertilized eggs, meaning they increase chances of abortion, killing human embryos. Now tell me, does the RH Bill still seem anti-abortion to you?

The RH Bill is wrong because it believes that the big population of the Philippines is to blame for the country’s dawdling development. The proponents are so egotistical and conceited that they think they don't contribute to this. Look at Japan and United States. US is the 3rd most populous and Japan is 10th, whereas we are only 12th. But their economy is high. Why? It started at the end of the Marcos regime. The former president lost us a lot of money, and it was hard for the then-president, Cory Aquino, to balance her focus on reviving our economy and battling the forces of the coup d’etat. Before Marcos went all crazy, one US dollar was equal to two Philippine pesos. Could you believe that? When I first heard about this, I almost didn’t. But Marcos was a very powerful man. And in the end, he used that power for evil and lost control.

You see? It’s all science. It tells us to explore all possibilities. The RH Bill does not. Corruption and bad governance, these are what’s really to blame. Because, as the Catholic Church put out, “A large family is a sign of God’s blessings.” And man is the number one most important resource of the country. Without man, who would invent new technologies? Who would run the large companies? Who would tend the farms? Who would teach young men? No matter how many natural resources we have like gold or corals or food, all of these don’t matter when there is no man to make something more out of them. And the RH Bill is stopping us from doing that. Bernardo Villegas, author of Myth of Unmet Family Planning Needs, stressed that: “because the poor have been deprived of the infrastructures they need, such as farm-to-market roads, irrigation systems, post-harvest facilities and other support services that the State neglected to provide them, the only economic resources they have are their children.”

“It is never lawful, even for the gravest reasons, to do evil that good may come out of it,” say 42 prominent international Catholic scholars. “The bill disrespects poor people, and focuses primarily on providing services to curb the number of children of the poor, while doing little to remedy their situation.”

This line caught me really off-guard the moment I read it: “The proponents applauded government efforts last February 2010 when it distributed condoms in some areas of Manila.” Hey, douchebags. Do you know exactly who gets to use these condoms? Teens. Males and females both. These teens use these condoms to have premarital sex, and the government gave them the motivation to! And if ever some adults did get the condoms, they used it to have extramarital sex. That, my friends, is the act of a spouse to have intercourse with someone who is not married to him or her. Yes, these condoms, which are also supported by the RH Bill, allow people to do these immoral acts. Plus, you get HIV, AIDS and STD’s when you “make love” even with a condom, so giving them out won’t lessen that risk. What these poor families need is education – something that, apparently, you also lack.

I want to say more, but this is all I got for now. I’ve put a lot of effort into this post because this is really something that concerns, and will concern us in the future. Yes, I am talking to you, my fellow teenager. Forget about the adults – we’re the ones who can make or break this. But if you didn’t read these things I mentioned above then fine. These are my key points, though:

The RH Bill is practically suggesting us to, “Go! Have fun! Enjoy your young lives and have sex with anyone you want, married or not. And if you are, you can even have sex with someone you’re not married to!”
The proponents of the RH Bill claim that they are anti-abortion, but let’s take a look again at the IUD, something the bill is very supportive of. IUD’s can kill human embryos. And isn’t abortion about killing these human embryos?
The RH Bill will teach children as young as 11 years old how to have sex with someone. And this is very ironic. You teach them how to have sex, and then you teach them how to abort?
The RH Bill believes that our country’s big population is the root cause of our bad economy, when in fact it’s them – corrupt officials – that are the ones to blame. The bill practically screams killing humans.
The RH Bill will waste our taxes – yes, money we will so have worked hard on – on very expensive and proven deadly devices, when in fact, this money should be used on medicines that will treat real diseases. Or is that another excuse to let the sick people slowly die, thus lessening our population which they so greatly want?

The proponents of the RH Bill, and I guess even ordinary Filipino citizens, are telling the Church to back off from the issue. Yes, I know that our country is a secular state, and the government can do whatever they want without the permission of the Church. But let’s be mindful of erroneous conscience and the right conscience. We should listen to the latter. We will be able to, with the help from the Father. As President Noynoy Aquino stressed, “I’m a Catholic, I am not promoting it (RH Bill). My position is more aptly called responsible parenthood rather than reproductive health.” Responsible. And isn’t that what we, as stewards of God’s wonderful creation, are called to be?
